Abu Dhabi bus shelters have been converted into taxi stands

The city’s transport networks get another upgrade

In the last few months the public transport system in Abu Dhabi has been upgraded.

Abu Dhabi now has a number of new buses, increased frequency, and new routes to connect different areas of Abu Dhabi together.

Plus popular bus routes across the city are now more frequent and free Wi-Fi has been introduced on buses around the capital too.

So there’s never been a better time to jump on a bus and get yourself from A to B in Abu Dhabi.

Continuing to upgrade the city’s transport network, a total of 40 bus stops have been converted into taxi stands across Abu Dhabi Island.

The Integrated Transport Centre announced that the change is to help reduce traffic congestion and improve parking management across the city.

Passengers should be able to access taxis more easily and taxi drivers will no longer have to block parking spaces and cause congestion while picking up or dropping off customers.

Still getting around the city by car? Here’s how to register your vehicle ahead of the introduction of road tolls on October 25.

Safe travels.
