Hundreds of free fitness classes to be held in Abu Dhabi’s public parks

Get moving with Active Parks in 2022

Looking to stay (or get more) active in 2022? There are tonnes of free fitness classes coming to Abu Dhabi’s public parks.

Active Parks is a new initiative to create a healthier lifestyle in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The four-week programme will offer 380 free-to-attend training sessions in 12 public parks across Abu Dhabi. It was developed by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in collaboration with the Department of Community Development (DCD).

Looking to get fit this winter? Active Parks is designed to promote sports and physical activity across the community and will run from Thursday December 30 to Wednesday January 26 with more than 380 free sessions for anyone aged 15 and older.

There will be loads of fun and healthy activities including DanceFit, RunFit, Bootcamps, CrossFit and yoga, with special classes for people of determination, too. There is a full schedule of classes available on the Active Parks website. Participants can share progress with the community across social media.
