Important info if you’re heading out for a bite to eat

Restaurants in Abu Dhabi are now able to resume normal working hours.

Many bars and restaurants across the city have reopened after a short closure to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Now that the National Sterilisation Programme has ended, The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi has announced that restaurants can resume their normal working hours and no longer have to close before 10pm.

Venues must follow strict guidelines to ensure visitor safety at all times including safe social distancing, separate entry and exit points, the frequent sterilisation of tables and chairs and more.

Restaurants are allowed to increase the maximum capacity of the venue to 60 percent, while still observing safety protocols.

Shopping malls have also recently removed age restrictions allowing children of all ages to visit retail shops and restaurants in the city.
