Abu Dhabi updates green list for travel to the UAE capital

Abu Dhabi border and testing requirements to change from February 1

There are new time frames for PCR and DPI tests

If you’re planning on entering Abu Dhabi next week, rules for PCR and DPI tests are being updated.

The regulations and testing requirements for entering Abu Dhabi will change on Monday (February 1).

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has updated procedures.

Everyone entering Abu Dhabi will have to have a negative PCR test from the past 48 hours, or a negative DPI test from the past 24 hours to access the emirate.

If you’re entering with a negative PCR test, you’ll need to take a second and third PCR test on the fourth and eighth days in the emirate.

If you’re arriving in Abu Dhabi with a negative DPI test, you’ll need to take a PCR test on day three and day seven in the emirate.

There are fines for those who don’t take the tests on the right days.

Vaccinated people and those participating in the National Vaccination Programme are exempt, but must produce an active icon on the Al Hosn Application.

Those arriving internationally from countries on the green list are required to take a PCR test on arrival and again on day six in the country but do not need to quarantine.

Those arriving from all other countries must quarantine for ten days and get a PCR test on day eight to end quarantine on day ten.
