Wondering when the Eid Al-Fitr 2022 holiday will be for UAE residents? The new Eid Al-Fitr 2022 federal government holiday dates have been revealed – along with the private sector dates.

According to WAM, the official holiday for the federal government begins from Saturday April 30 until Friday May 6. That means a longer Eid break for government workers. The latest update was shared late on Thursday April 21.
On Saturday April 23, the Abu Dhabi Media Office revealed that the Human Resources Authority (HRA) approved the longer Eid Al-Fitr holiday for Abu Dhabi government employees. The Eid holiday will start from Saturday April 30 to Friday May 6 for government workers with work resuming on Monday May 9.
Previously, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, set dates for the Eid Al-Fitr holidays from the 29th of Ramadan until the third of Shawwal for government workers. Those dates looked likely to be from Saturday April 30 until Wednesday May 4, but now government employees with get a couple of extra days off. Are you ready for the Eid break?
The UAE Eid Al-Fitr 2022 private sector holiday dates were also revealed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).
Eid Al-Fitr corresponds with the end of Ramadan. The exact date depends on the sighting of the moon. The Emirates Astronomical Society has forecast that the last day of Ramadan will likely be on Sunday May 1.
