Flamingo Room by Tashas is coming to Abu Dhabi

The new spot will join some of the city’s best restaurants at The Galleria

Flamingo Room by Tashas is arriving in Abu Dhabi at the Galleria Al Maryah Island and we couldn’t be more excited.

Feeling hungry? If you’re on the hunt for an incredible meal in Abu Dhabi, Al Maryah Island is never a bad shout and it’s about to get even better with this new spot. We don’t have an exact opening date yet, but the doors are expected to be open by 2023.

Flamingo Room by Tashas is already well known in Dubai. It’s located at the lush Jumeriah Al Naseem’s turtle lagoon with a laid-back vibe and quirky interiors full of African glamour. If the new Flamingo Room by Tashas in Abu Dhabi follows the style of the Dubai branch, you can expect walnut wood doors, a marble bar and gold detailing.

The menu at Flamingo Room by Tashas is all about seafood and seasonal flavours. Tempting dishes include the truffle scallops, lobster pasta, pan-seared sea bass and tiger prawn platter (bring those to Abu Dhabi please). The spot is also known for its carefully crafted mixed drinks and mocktails; perfect for lunch, dinner or drinks.

There are loads of exciting new things coming to The Galleria Al Maryah Island. Joining Flamingo Room by Tashas on the coming-soon list, Din Tai Fung is a world-renowned Taiwanese restaurant that’s coming to Abu Dhabi this year, joining favourites such as LocaDai Pai Dong, and Zuma.

The Dubai branch of Flamingo Room by Tashas is a former Time Out Restaurant Awards winner, and it’s easy to see why. Featuring meaty soups, noodles, and the shining star: soup dumplings, it’s always a good choice.

Looking to work up a sweat after all that fantastic food? Barry’s is opening for the first time in Abu Dhabi at Galleria Mall this year, too. You’d better be ready to break a sweat, because Barry’s doesn’t mess around.

The new Barry’s Abu Dhabi studio will have the gym’s signature Red Room along with the flex lounge, so you can choose to use the treadmills and do a floor workout or pump some iron with a strength class.

It’s a great time for foodies and workout fiends alike to be in Abu Dhabi. And if you’re looking for new spots that are already open, don’t miss this list of the best new restaurants in the capital.
