Looking to take your shopping experience to new heights? Velocity is the longest and tallest stainless-steel slide in the Middle East and it’s open now at WTC Mall.
If you’ve ever found yourself wandering through the mall, you might’ve already stumbled across the giant structure and wondered… what is that and how do you try it out? Velocity was built between 2019 and 2021, and the Abu Dhabi attraction is now officially ready for you to take a spin.
The two stainless steel slides stretch from the top level of the mall to the bottom, with twists and turns that tempt you to take the plunge. We’ve been wondering when the slides will be open for adrenaline-fans, and now it’s officially ready.

Velocity’s slides are 68-metres and 54-metres long and have a sliding speed of two to three metres per second. The megastructure has a transparent section to give you a view of the mall as you slide, so those with a fear of heights might want to give this one a skip.
Anyone who is taller than 110 centimetres can use the slides. The price for one slide is Dhs15 or Dhs25 for two slides. The attraction is open from 10am to 10pm on weeknights and 10am to midnight on weekends. Mall employees have been deployed at the control gates of both slides to keep everyone safe.
