Nara Desert Escapes Omani dhow cruise launches

The Nara on the Sea cruise sounds like a very special way to sail across the Omani peninsula

Eager to go on a new cruise? There’s a new Nara Desert Escapes Omani dhow cruise you can sail away on.

The GCC has so many gorgeous scenic places to explore, and now a new experience is being added to the mix.

Sounding like one of the most beautiful ways to soak in the sights of the Musandam fjords overlooked by the Al Hajar mountains, Nara on the Sea, the latest passion project from Nara Desert Escapes’ founder Stephanie Reichenbach’s, will take guests on a 90-foot traditional Omani dhow cruise.

We are told that eco-friendliness and authenticity are at the heart of the experience, which will offer guests the chance to make the most of the stunning natural environment with fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, swimming and snorkelling.

It sounds like a luxe experience with the Omani dhow divided into three decks.

Want to lounge? Head to the upper deck for laid back vibes. The main deck is kitted out with an indoor air conditioned majlis, and an outdoor kitchen and lounge area and you can discover outdoor seating at the lower deck level.

The on-board lodging comes in the form of three bedrooms; one primary bedroom with a double bed and one single bed and ensuite bathroom and two twin rooms, each with two single beds and ensuite bathroom.

Wondering about food on-board? A private chef will prepare a Nara menu, using locally sourced produce or curate a bespoke menu as per the charter guests’ wishes. Sounds perfect.

News of the Nara on the Sea cruise comes days after it was announced at the Arabian Travel Market that Nara Desert Escapes, the award-winning team behind the world-famous Sonara Camp, is set to launch a brand-new camping experience named The Nest.

A luxe desert glamping experience under the starry sky? We expect this will be on many a bucket list.
