Stop and donate 2022: drop off your unwanted stuff at ADNEC

Donate unwanted items to families in need

Looking to do a little spring cleaning? Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) is inviting the public to donate unwanted items at the fifth edition of Stop and Donate.

This year’s event is “Keep Clean, Go Green, Donate and Recycle” and is part of ADNEC’s sustainability initiative.

There will be four Stop and Donate collection bins at ADNEC and three bins at the Al Ain Convention Centre (ACC) where you can donate items to families in need or you can bring items for recycling. The initiative will take place from Friday June 10 to Monday June 13 between 8am and 4pm.

Wondering what you can donate? Head to ADNEC with clothing, furniture, toys, shoes, stationary, working electronics and home appliances that you don’t want that’s still in good condition. These items will be given to less fortunate families via the Emirates Red Crescent.

You can also bring materials for recycling at Stop and Donate, such as plastic bottles, paper, cardboard, wood, newspapers and magazines and metal containers such as aluminum and steel cans. Books will be donated to local libraries and e-waste items such as phones and computers will also be accepted. People’s items can be collected directly from their cars.

The Stop and Donate programme collected over 2,229kg of items for donation to the Red Crescent or recycling when it last ran in 2019.

The collection points at ADNEC are located at Car Park A first floor, Car Park B second floor, Capital Gate entrance and The Grandstand.
