COVID-19 PCR test cost reduced to Dhs85

The cheaper tests are available at SEHA facilities in the UAE

The UAE has taken action to protect residents and citizens from COVID-19 and has been among the leading countries for performing tests per capita.

Currently, there are two available types of testing in the country, a PCR nasal swab and a DPI laser test.

Making tests more accessible to all people living in the UAE, the cost of getting a PCR swab test has been reduced.

Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has announced that PCR swab tests will now cost Dhs85.

The change in price is effective immediately and is across all SEHA locations in the UAE.

Currently, tests are required for crossing the border into Abu Dhabi from other emirates.

A negative test from the past 48 hours is required to enter the emirate, followed by a PCR test on the fourth and eighth day in the emirate if your stay is eight days or more.

Those who fail to undergo a test on the fourth and eighth day in Abu Dhabi are liable for fines.
