Abu Dhabi Showdown Week is in full flow and events are taking place left, right and centre.
There are happy hour deals, pool parties, UFC fighter meet and greets, Knockout Burgers, fitness events, open training, the weigh-in and so much more to get the atmosphere building ahead of fight night.
If you’re going to see Red Hot Chili Peppers or UFC 242 then you’ll be visiting The Arena on Yas Island for the every first time and here’s what you need to know.
The Arena on Yas Island is located next to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi on Al Maha Street and you can find it on Google Maps by typing the words ‘THE ARENA’ into the search bar.
Organisers have advised adding an additional hour to your travel time to park, get to the arena and get inside if you’re planning on getting to the venue by car.
There is no general parking at The Arena but signs will direct visitors to a parking lot and shuttle buses will take ticket holders to the venue from the car park.
At The Arena there are food and beverage options, no outside food will be allowed in, there are no cloakrooms and there is an ATM if you need to withdraw some extra dirhams.
The venue is a non-smoking arena and that includes the use of e-cigarettes, however designated smoking areas will be located outside.
Taxi’s are allowed to drop ticketholders directly in front of the venue and if travelling to Yas Island using Careem, ticket holders can take advantage of a 40 percent discount by using the code ‘ADSW19’ when booking.
