Free outdoor fitness classes

Love a good fitness class almost as much as a free activity? Now you can have both. Active Parks is a new initiative to create a healthier lifestyle in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The four-week programme is offering 380 free-to-attend training sessions in 12 public parks across Abu Dhabi.

Scuba dive at Red Buoy

20km from the coast of Abu Dhabi there’s a diving site you definitely want to check out. With a descent of 11 metres and (usually) clear visibility, it’s a great place to see some wildlife. Dives are organised by Al Mahara Diving Center, Al Mina Road. Don’t forget your underwater camera.

Take a ride in a driverless taxi

The future is here. The UAE’s first driverless taxis have arrived on Yas Island and they look pretty cool. Trials to try this cool service are on for a limited period. There are nine different pick-up and drop-off points: Etihad Arena, Yas Marina, W Hotel Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Mall, IKEA, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld and Yas Beach. All you have to do is download the TXAI app on Google Play or the Apple Store.

Thai dishes at San Thai Diner

Searching for something new to try in Abu Dhabi? There’s a new Thai restaurant, San Thai Diner, which looks like the perfect spot to pull up a seat and tuck into some serious Thai flavours. The diner is open from noon to midnight daily and does free home delivery when you order over the phone.
