All of the exciting things that are happening in the UAE’s capital also make Abu Dhabi a great place for tourists. (The amazing weather doesn’t hurt, either).
This was confirmed in Bounce’s capital cities index, which ranked Abu Dhabi as the second best capital city for tourists.
In the recent study, Bounce analysed 69 cities from around the world to see how they ranked for holidaymakers in terms of number of attractions and restaurants, hotel and transport costs, and the weather. It’s no surprise then that Abu Dhabi came out No.2 given our warm, sunny days, cultural attractions and countless foodie experiences.

Wondering what capital city came in first? Valletta just beat out Abu Dhabi in the rankings, with Malta’s capital having an overall score of 6.74 and Abu Dhabi ranking 6.24. New Delhi, India came third followed by Manama, Bahrain and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The UAE has risen to the top of the rankings on a number of recent global surveys. In the Expat Explorer Report 2021 conducted by HSBC, it came fourth for the best place for expats to live and work. Furthermore, the UAE came third in the world for its response to COVID-19 and resiliency in Bloomberg’s latest ranking.
