Looking for epic Eid celebrations? There are plenty of Global Village Eid 2022 events to join in on this long weekend.
With Eid Al-Fitr 2022 likely set to begin on Saturday April 30, the excitement and planning for Eid break has started.
Private sector workers are set to get an extended weekend, with official paid leave expected to be from Saturday April 30 through to Wednesday May 4. While the public sector and government workers will get up to nine days off, with leave expected to start on Saturday April 30 and continue through to Friday May 6, plus the weekend of May 7-8.

With plenty of Eid celebrations, staycations and things to do – you’ll now be able to add Global Village to your list for the Eid break.
After announcing in March that it would be extending the current 26th season, Global Village is set to close for the season on Saturday May 7. So it’s time to make the most of the final week.
Extended opening hours
To facilitate those fasting throughout Ramadan, Global Village extended its opening hours. The village of fun is now open from 6pm to 2am daily. On its website, public holidays, such as Eid Al-Fitr are noted as being ‘family days’. Guests hoping to attend over the Eid break are encouraged to keep a eye on Global Village official social media accounts for any updates.
Massive daily fireworks displays
If you’ve ever been to Global Village on a Friday or a Saturday, you may have already seen the incredible fireworks display that occurs at 9pm. But get ready! Throughout the Eid break there will be nightly firework displays. The kids (and yourself) will delight in seeing the sky light up with the shimmers, sparkles and pops of fireworks in the night sky. The nightly fireworks display is set to run throughout the final week of Global Village’s 2022 season; at 9pm each evening, from Friday April 29 though to the final day on Saturday May 7. Ideal for an Eid celebration.
Special tickets for Expo 2020 volunteers
As a lovely gesture to those who volunteered at Expo 2020 Dubai, Global Village is offering two free tickets to every volunteer. The Global Village team hopes that this will allow volunteers to enjoy all the fun they might have missed while they were working hard at Expo 2020. If you were a volunteer at Expo 2020 Dubai, all you have to do is show your Expo 2020 ID badge from Saturday April 30 to Saturday May 7 at the guest services counter in Global Village and you’ll receive two ‘Eidiya‘ tickets. What a lovely way to say thank you to all the wonderful volunteers.
Global Village Eid Grand Prize Draw
To end the 26th season on a high, Global Village has organised a massive prize as part of the Eid Grand Prize Draw – a brand new Ford Bronco SUV. And better still? Entry to the grand draw is free with your Global Village entry ticket. If you’ve booked a table at Majlis of the World, you’ll receive two entries per person. Winners will be announced on the final day of the season on Saturday May 7. What a great way to kick off your Eid celebrations. Could you be the lucky winner?
